Altamae Brown Bailey (altamaebailey@yesopportunities.org) is a native of Sydney, VA. Altamae attended Kittrell Junior College in Kittrell, NC. She is a retired Chemical Operations Specialist with a major pharmaceutical company in Nutley, NJ. Altamae, and her husband Dennis, currently reside in Chester County, Virginia.

Dennis Hamilton Bailey (dennisbailey@yesopportunities.org) is a native of Rahway, NJ. His professional career spans 36 years in the field of electronics. Dennis served in the United States Navy. He has worked for large corporations in the field of electronics. Dennis serves on the Executive Committee of YES and is responsible for fundraising.

Marsha Byrd (marshabyrd@yesopportunities.org) is a native of New Jersey. She has worked in Prince George's County Schools for over 20 years. Marsha and her husband Joseph are members of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Arlington, VA.

Virginia L. Brown Castro (virginiacastro@yesopportunities.org) is a native of Warfield, VA. During her secondary education, she relocated to Newark, NJ where she completed her education. Virginia lived and worked in Puerto Rico for many years. She is a retired Lab Technician. Virginia is married to Herberto (Herbie) Castro, who coordinates travel and fundraising for YES. They are members of First Baptist Church in Warner Robins, GA.

Maria Goslee Cornish-Picott (mariacornish-picott@yesopportunities.org) is a native of the Eastern Shore, MD and resides in Clinton, MD. She is a graduate of Strayer University, Washington, DC, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She is a member of Alfred Street Baptist Church. Maria has worked extensively in administrative positions. Her experience includes City of Alexandria, where she worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Assistant City Manager. She's currently employed by the Federal Government.

MaryAnn Goodman (maryanngoodman@yesopportunities.org)is a native Washingtonian currently residing in Ft. Washington, MD. She retired from the Federal Government, with 35 years of experience in Personnel. She serves as Vice President of the Youth Scholarship Ministry at her church. Mary Ann has coordinated numerous job fairs and training workshops. She has a son, Scott Gandy, who is the designer of the YES Logo. Mary Ann serves YES in an administrative capacity and oversees the fundraising projects.

Rev. Dr. Lorenzo S. Edwards, Sr. (lorenzoedwards@yesopportunities.org)is a native of Ocala, FL. Rev. Edwards graduated from the University of Florida and the International Interdenominational Seminary. He has received a Bachelors and Masters degree from the University of Florida and received Honorary Doctors from the International Interdenominationl Seminary. He served ten years on the Ocala City Council. He is a retired Dean of the Hampton Campus of Central Florida Community College. He serves as a local community advisor and spiritual leader for YES. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Rev. Dr. Faye S. Gunn (fayegunn@yesopportunities.org)is the assistant minister of Alfred Street Baptist Church. She received her Doctor of Ministry Degree from Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, DC. Rev. Gunn has a Master of Divinity from the School of Theology, Virginia Union, Richmond, VA, and an MA in Secondary Education Administration, Bowie State University, Bowie, MD; and is also an alumnus of Norfolk State University. She is responsible for designing and implementing the Tutorial Ministry at ASBC. Rev. Gunn is a former teacher and administrator with the Alexandria City Public Schools. She has received numerous awards for community service work on the local, state and national levels. She serves as the spiritual leader for YES. Rev. Gunn is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Mary Hodge worked 35 years for the Federal Government. She volunteers her time as a tutor and a coordinator for senior citizens in the Maryland suburbs. Mary is a widow and the mother of six children, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is a member of St. Colombo Catholic Church in Ft. Washington, MD.

Michael C. Norvell , Esq. is a native of North Carolina. He graduated from the University of Florida, School of Law. His legal practice is mainly in the areas of Estates, Trusts, and Business Law. He is a board member of the Salvation Army, Lake County, Florida. Michael's practice is located in Leesburg, Florida. He serves as a legal advisor for YES.

John K. Meiners, Jr. (johnmeiners@yesopportunities.org) has been a registered Securities Broker for over 29 years. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, at Chapel Hill, majoring in Business Administration. He currently resides in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. John is a member of the Church by the Sea where he serves as an Elder and President of the Board of Directors. He serves as the investment and financial advisor for YES.

Theodore R. Picott (tedpicott@yesopportunities.org) is a native of Hampton, VA . He is a graduate of North Carolina Central University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Geography. For over 34 years, his expertise in the field of management has afforded him the opportunity to serve as Administrative Officer and a Senior Diversity Management Officer, within Federal Government. In keeping with his varied managerial and supervisory positions, Ted has been able to facilitate projects; develop programs; and serve on special committees. Ted serves on the Executive Committee of YES, assisting with fundraising projects. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
